Summer signing number 16... Danny Woodards!

Rovers have just announced the signing of former MK Dons defender Danny Woodards on a one-yeal deal with a view to a further year.

The 27 year old rejected a new deal at the Dons in the Summer and attracted interest from Sheffield United, Bristol City and Ipswich according to Sky Sports at the time. He didn't move to the Championship in the end though and has instead joined Rovers promotion quest in League Two.

Rovers fought off interest from Exeter and Ipswich, who came in for him again, to seal his signing. It remains to be seen if he will be in the squad for the Hereford game tomorrow, but it seems likely he will if his registration goes through in time.

A very astute piece of business by Bucks and co. Very decent player who should bring real quality to our back-line!

Welcome to Bristol Rovers, Danny!
