Pato Signs New Deal

Full back Jim Paterson has this afternoon agreed a new deal with the club, committing himself until June 2013 at least. The contract is for a year with the option of an extension at the end of it if he continues to impress. He's the first of the three players offered new deals to sign on the dotted line, leaving just Wayne Brown and Danny Woodards to agree extensions.

I'm very pleased with the news as I think he showed great consistency during his short spell with us at the back end of last season. There's more to come I'm sure, especially after a Mark McGhee pre-season under his belt. The left sided player played 17 games for the club and scored his first goal in the 7-1 demolition of Burton Albion. His experience will prove an important asset next year as we prepare to launch a promotion bid.

The first bit of summer business is now done and dusted, hopefully there will be more to follow soon!
