Yes Please Eaves

Bolton Wanderers striker Tom Eaves is, according to Sky Sports, going to join us on a 3 month loan deal later today and will be in the squad for Exeter City on Saturday. He's a 6ft 3 forward with nimble feet and a turn of pace that Matt Harrold may have lacked. He looks like a direct replacement for Harrold and will certainly provide a massive aerial presence when leading the line. He's yet to make a first team appearance for the Trotters but has scored freely for their reserve team since joining for an undisclosed fee from Oldham Athletic in 2010. The move to the then Premier League club came on the back of him scoring a hat-trick against them in a pre-season friendly!

He seems a decent signing for us, I look forward to seeing him in action - once all is signed, sealed and delivered.

But the good news doesn't stop there Gasheads, oh no. Mark McGhee today confirmed that two strikers had agreed to join us and will sign later this afternoon. One was known to be a young player and the other an experienced proven goalscorer. We know the identity of the former but who is the latter? Could it be one of the players speculated on by myself the other day or could it be someone who has yet to be mentioned? Questions, questions.

I look forward to finding out who the other new Gas striker is. Hopefully we won't be disappointed.
