John-Joe O'Toole signs 2 month loan extension

John-Joe O'Toole finally committed to a 2 month loan extension yesterday to keep him at the club until early April. The Irishman has been our star man since arriving on New Year's Eve and has established himself as a fan favourite in his 4 weeks here. His all-action displays and dogged determination has been something we've lacked in midfield for a number of years and we've got ourselves a player who is too good for League Two. John Ward has done excellently well to keep him here.

Don't underestimate the part you played though Gasheads. The constant chanting of his name in the second half at Rotherham, plus the standing ovation he received at full-time, will have meant a lot to him and might just have swung his decision. He knows he's appreciated and loved at Bristol Rovers and I think it's only right we remind him of that on Friday evening when we play Barnet.
