3 Year Deal For Harrison

Harrison at Rotherham United - Lifted from: bristolrovers.co.uk
Teenage hotshot Ellis Harrison has this evening signed a new 3 year deal with Rovers to keep him at the club until at least 2016. The winger was given his chance by John Ward at the turn of the year and made a massive impact in the January away-day victories over Fleetwood Town and Rotherham United. In 12 appearances last season he scored three times and assisted a handful of goals as Rovers became the in-form team in League Two. His contract was about to expire but talks have been ongoing with him for a while and he has committed his long-term future to the club.

Harrison made his debut in April 2011 against Southampton at St Mary's but failed to earn another appearance until Ward called him up in January. The 19 year old was then an ever-present in the squad and showed a tremendous amount of pace and ability in his time on the pitch, something which really excited Gasheads. He also displayed a quality that very few players have: being a match-winner. His brace in a 2-1 victory at home to Rochdale served to inform the football world that Ellis Harrison had arrived on the scene and was here to stay. His performances will have attracted attention from elsewhere and that's what makes his extension even more pleasing. He sees his future with us and it's great to see a player with genuine talent come through our youth ranks and come good.

I'm a happy Gashead today.

  1. Undeniably believe that which you stated. Your favorite reason seemed to be on the internet the simplest thing to be aware of.
I say to you, I definitely get irked while people think about worries that they plainly don't know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top as well as defined out the whole thing without having side effect , people could take a signal. Will probably be back to get more. Thanks
