Steve Yates Becomes Kit Manager

Rovers have drafted in former fans favourite Steve Yates as the club's new kit manager, a job he assumes with immediate effect.

Yates, a battling defender who played in the quarters between 1988-1993, was contacted regarding the role by the club and when he confirmed his interest John Ward thrashed out an agreement with him. Whilst Ward admits that Yates will be in an unfamiliar environment with his new job initially that he will have the help of everybody at the club to ensure it works out well for everyone concerned. He's a 'Rovers man' and wants to be a part of the backroom team at the club and this role provides him with the perfect opportunity to link up with the club once again.

Among Ward's backroom team: Darrell Clarke (assistant manager), Marcus Stewart (development coach), Mark Hammond (fitness coach), Phil Kite (physiotherapist), Alan Walsh (U18s manager), Tom Curtis (head of youth), Steve Yates (kit manager).
