Quiet Deadline Day

There was no late activity in or out at Rovers and transfer deadline day has passed quietly.

John Ward stated at lunchtime that there would be no movement and, inevitably, he was correct. Unsubstantiated Twitter rumours suggested that Tom Parkes was again attracting the interest of Uwe Rosler at Brentford and that Rovers had made a £10,000 bid for City defender James Wilson. Neither piece of gossip turned out to be true, thankfully.

It means that we go with what we've got until January unless Ward is able to make a loan signing when the emergency loan window opens in 7 days time. A new winger would have been a huge boost to our chances but we're improving all the time and with our experienced players returning from injury we're beginning to look very strong.

To confirm at 11.50pm on Monday 2nd September: NO transfer business at Bristol Rovers today.
