Gas Go German?

Fabian Broghammer
Mark McGhee has explained that trialist Fabian Broghammer was recommended to him by one of his contacts in Germany, a country he once played in himself for Hamburg.

He retains a number of links with former team-mates, including Felix Magath, and it appears they've tipped him off over a few players that could provide some added quality to the team. It's been confirmed 'two or three' further trialists will join with the squad over the coming days in a bid to impress enough to earn themselves a contract and pull on the blue and white quarters. It's thought at least one of the additional trialists will be a striker although no names have been disclosed as yet.

Wingers and central defenders are the other positions that need addressing over the next couple of weeks, with McGhee confirming that he's now looking at alternatives with Cian Bolger unlikely to return from Leicester. His team-mate Tom Parkes is still in the frame for a move back to Rovers, with rumours suggesting an imminent transfer of Mustapha Carayol to the Foxes being on the cards as a result. The whole situation will need to come to a conclusion soon with the season now just 4 weeks away from beginning.
