Hat-Trick Of Signings As Mildenhall Joins

Rovers have today made it 3 new signings as experienced goalkeeper Steve Mildenhall has joined the club. He has signed on an emergency loan to be eligible to play tomorrow against Plymouth and that will be extended until the end of the season in the New Year.

He has recently been on loan at League One side Scunthorpe United but was recalled earlier today. Boss John Ward has managed to persuade the shot-stopper to join our fight for League Two survival when he is clearly still good enough for first team football at a higher level. A huge factor in Mildenhall's decision is that his family live locally in the south west.

He is out of contract at the Den in the summer so if all goes well between now and then a permanent move could be on the cards. First and foremost though he will be striving to keep us up and will replace current loanee Sam Walker who will return to Chelsea.

I'm delighted with the signings we've made so far - they're all certainly of a great quality. If our other signings are as good as these we'll have the makings of a decent team.
