Tom Hitchcock To Join

Sky Sports are reporting that Rovers are set to complete the signing of QPR striker Tom Hitchcock when the Transfer Window reopens next week. We've been linked with the 20 year old in the past but only now have we managed to get him on board.

It has yet to be confirmed by either club although I tweeted the man himself wishing him luck should he be joining us to which I got 'thanks a lot mate' as a reply. Confirmation!

I wouldn't rule out Rovers signing two other, more proven, strikers this month in a quest to get us scoring goals. I don't think we can rely on an inexperienced forward to get the goals to keep us in the Football League. A few names have been linked with us in recent days and it'll be interesting to see who appears in the Rovers team on NYD against Plymouth Argyle - one of Hitchcock's former loan clubs.
