Reuben Reid To Rovers?

It is being reported by a couple of well placed local sources that Bristolian striker Reuben Reid could be signing for Rovers in the next couple of days. Reid, once of West Bromwich Albion, currently plays for Yeovil Town in League One having joined them last summer but for a number of reasons he is not being selected and hasn't been for a while. Glovers fans are suggesting they've heard he'll be joining Rovers and we were linked with an interest in him before the loan window closed in late 2012, but Johnson refused to let anyone leave his squad at that time.

He is a direct, pacey forward player who has an eye for goal. Whilst he's not been consistent at his last couple of clubs, he's thought to have found it difficult to settle away from his family and so a move to Rovers could be perfect. It is believed it would be on a permanent deal.

Yeovil supporters say he is a good player who is probably above League Two level but may need to drop in order to restart his career. There is no official confirmation that there is any substance to this rumour just yet but in the know journalist Chris Spittles, who covers Yeovil Town, has tweeted this very news this evening.

Interesting stuff.
