Paterson Signs New 1 Year Deal

33 year old Jim Paterson has today signed a new contract after trigging a clause in his current deal. His fresh terms see him remain at the Mem for a further 12 months.

This is unexpected news as many people had believed Paterson would be among the players let go this summer. With the revelation that a clause had been inserted in his contract last summer it does leave you to wonder if other players who the club wouldn't choose to keep are given an extra year. Speculation suggests Fabian Broghammer may be one such player.

Jim does however provide experience and cover for Lee Brown at left-back and as long as he's not on large wages it isn't necessarily a bad thing.
