Oliver Norburn last summer

The retained list has been announced today and offers no real surprises.

Fabian Broghammer, Ellis Harrison, Oliver Norburn and Ollie Clarke have been offered new contracts while Adam Virgo and Scott Bevan have been released. They will remain with the club until they are fit enough to search for new employers. Striker Oumare Tounkara has not been offered a new deal after his short-term spell with the club that saw him score twice in a 4-1 win over Dagenham & Redbridge. Injured duo Seanan Clucas and Danny Woodards have been offered fresh terms but will not be fit in time for the beginning of the season in August.

John Ward has this evening revealed that Norburn has verbally agreed his new deal and Clarke has actually signed his. Pat Keary, who was offered a 2 year deal a few weeks ago, has also signed his contract too.

The players leaving the club are: Oumare Tounkara, Joe Anyinsah, Scott Bevan, Adam Virgo, Sam Kamara, Ross Staley and Connor Finn.

Steve Mildenhall remains in talks with Rovers but it is unknown whether the change in management at Millwall will have a bearing on negotiations. John-Joe O'Toole is also discussing a permanent move to the club but obviously has many admirers. A deadline has been set for him to accept the offer although the date has not been disclosed.
