(Second Best) Goal Of The Season!

Ollie Norburn's 35 yard equaliser in stoppage time at Cheltenham Town was the deserved winner of Goal of the Season. Both in terms of technique and context, it was a strike worth the crown for 2012-2013 and would have graced any competition in world football. However, there were some other noteworthy Rovers goals in the past year and now is the time for your to choose your favourite.

As Norburn's goal was by far and away the best I thought it would be good to run a secondary competition to find the best of the rest. So Gasheads, take a look at the video below and select your favourite aside from that last gasp equaliser at Whaddon Road:

There is now a new poll alongside this article where you can vote for your (second) favourite goal of the campaign. The main contenders are provided as options but if for some reason your choice isn't on the list, please leave a comment underneath this article stating the fixture, the player and your reason for voting for it. Whichever goal obtains the most votes in the next 7 days will become the unofficial second best goal of the season.

So watch the video, cast your vote and help pass time over the very long close-season period! Spread the word Gasheads.

Note - Both league goals and cup goals should be considered in the voting. The 3 goals scored in the abandoned League Two match at Wycombe Wanderers (Lee Brown and Eliot Richards x2) do not count and are not included on the shortlist (blame the WWFC Health and Safety Officer!)
