Elsewhere In League Two... (6)

The past week has seen over a dozen signings in League Two as recruitment drives across the country ramp up a notch. There have been a couple of cross-divisional moves as well as several non-league transfers as managers pounce on their targets in time for the beginning of pre-season training.

AFC Wimbledon have been the busiest club having signed 3 new players in the past couple of days. Ashley Bayes arrives from Basingstoke while goalkeeper Ross Worner links up with the London club following his departure from Aldershot Town. Neal Ardley's third capture was striker Charlie Sheringham, son of Manchester United legend Teddy, and he links up with the Wombles from Championship outfit AFC Bournemouth. To date they have brought in 5 new faces this summer.

Keith Hill's Rochdale have swooped for defender Ashley Eastham on a free transfer from Blackpool and have also completed a deal for a former Rovers loanee. Matt Lund has signed a 2 year deal with Dale having also played for Southend United in this division last season. Morecambe have made their second signing in the shape of winger Marcus Marshall and Newport County have sealed the signature of ex-Oxford United centre half Harry Worley. 

Elsewhere, Plymouth Argyle have re-signed Reuben Reid on loan from Yeovil Town, this time for a full-season, and James Beattie's Accrington Stanley have brought in full-back Nicky Hunt. Cheltenham Town have completed a double-signing, their first of the summer, with veteran forward Jamie Cureton and young defender Troy Brown linking up with Mark Yates' men. Portsmouth have signed Barnet ace Ricky Holmes on a free transfer after weeks of negotiations and Mansfield Town have plucked Sam Clucas from Blue Square Premier side Hereford United.

Rovers are now among just a third of League Two clubs who have signed either no new players or just the 1 so far.
