George Rigg On Trial

Lifted from: stokecityfc.com
It has been reported that John Ward has handed a trial to former Stoke City youngster George Rigg following his release by the Premier League side. The 19 year old came up through Bristol City's Academy but turned down an offer to remain with the Robins and opted to move to the Britannia Stadium last year.

Rigg is a right back/midfielder and could prove to be a cheap and effective back-up for Michael Smith while Danny Woodards is injured. Rovers certainly have nothing to lose by taking a look at him in training and with a new emphasis on youth, he may be exactly the sort of character Ward wants in our squad. George is the cousin of former Gas winger Sean Rigg.

There are no other confirmed trialists at present.
