The left winger, who is equally adept on the right hand side, is looking forward to getting started and knows exactly what is expected of him this coming season. He told the OS: 'My job is to be quick down the line and get crosses in to the box. I think I have a goal or two in me as well'. McGhee has already dubbed him as a potential replacement for the departed Mustapha Carayol and if he can contribute assists and goals consistently throughout the season we'll have ourselves a much better player on our hands.
Broghammer's footballing upbringing has seen him play for sides such as Eintracht Frankfurt, Hoffenheim and VfB Stuttgart back in Germany and the general consensus is that this is evident in his ability on the ball. He'll be hoping to have an impact this season and play a part in what is hopefully a successful season for Rovers in League Two.
He joined the club to train at the start of pre-season and arrived as a complete unknown. We now know all about him but he's still somewhat of a mystery to the rest of the division which could work to our advantage in the early stages of the campaign. He'll certainly offer an element of surprise to defenders who know little about his background and his playing traits.
Welcome aboard Fabian, here's to a successful season both for you and the club.
