Rogvi Baldvinsson Signs

What I feared may have been a far-fetched rumour last night has been confirmed by Rovers and we now have an agreement in place to sign Algard FK defender Rogvi Baldvinsson for an undisclosed fee.

He is set to undertake a medical on Monday after flying in from Norway, before signing a 2-year deal with the club.

He is a Faroese international and has featured regularly over the past 18 months or so. His club side recognised his quality and made him captain, which made him hugely popular among supporters and journalists in Norway.

This could be a masterstroke by Mark McGhee and he could turn out to be a little gem. We can now also say we have an international player playing for Bristol Rovers!
